The Bank of East Asia Website Design
challenges.
The BEA website currently adheres to a dated 2000s standard and style, lacking responsiveness and compatibility with small-screen devices. Recognizing the widespread use of mobile devices for e-banking and verification, The Bank of East Asia acknowledges the necessity for a rebranding and online system upgrade. In response to security concerns, BEA will select 13 pages encompassing common components and functions for our team to design, subsequently packaging the design and front-end programming files for handover to their IT team for further implementation. The design approach will be component-based architecture and will also consider adaptation and adjustments necessary for the versions in other countries.
research & analysis.
In our approach, we conducted research on website designs of local banks like Standard Chartered, HSBC, Hang Seng, and BOC. Although the client's request is to "reskin" the website while retaining the current structure, we believe it's essential to thoroughly analyze the entire website (excluding the e-banking system) to enhance user interfaces and overall user experience, ensuring alignment with the new design.
